Christmas in New York is a magical experience that never gets old. Everyone should experience a New York Christmas at least once, it's only an hour out from central Jersey. Every December, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lights up the city, a tradition that started in 1933. The tree stands tall at about 75 feet and shines bright with colorful lights and a Swarovski star on top. Besides the famous tree at Rockefeller Center, you can ice skate, visit nearby attractions like the Radio City Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes, the holiday window displays on Fifth Avenue, and the breathtaking views from Top of the Rock. But wait, there is more! Over in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, the holiday spirit takes over as homes are decked out with extraordinary Christmas lights, inflatable decorations, and glowing reindeer. Visitors from all over come to admire these festive displays, making it feel like a real-life winter wonderland. Ice skating at Rockefeller Center or wandering Dyker Heights, New York is ALL about holiday cheer!
