With summer 2025 just months away, you are probably starting to plan your travel. San Juan, Puerto Rico, is the perfect island to visit!
In Puerto Rico, there are many fun and exciting things to do. You’ll see interesting animals, such as iguanas, walking around. The people of Puerto Rico are also very welcoming and will be happy to help you if needed.
There are many activities to enjoy. You can go kayaking in a bioluminescent bay, hike for two or three hours up a tall mountain at El Yunque National Rainforest, and visit waterfalls where you can swim in the fresh water. In addition to these activities, you can relax at the beaches. Unlike other beaches, the ocean water is perfectly clear and warm.
The food in San Juan is also amazing. You can try many different Puerto Rican dishes, such as mofongo, which is made from plantains. You can also have arroz con gandules, a combination of rice, pigeon peas, and pork, cooked together with sofrito.
Many students and staff members at NBTHS have visited Puerto Rico and loved it. Senior Mehek Singh says, "Puerto Rico was beautiful, and my favorite part was exploring Old San Juan." Staff member Ms. Khan says, "I enjoyed all the different views, the beach, and the hikes I did with my family."
Ultimately, there are many exciting things to do in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and it should be your next vacation spot. You will definitely enjoy it!
