A mysterious wave of drone sightings over New Jersey last year has sparked an ongoing FBI investigation, with no suspects or drones recovered despite thousands of reports. Former President Donald Trump has vowed to uncover more details about the incidents, which have captured widespread attention, while the Biden administration downplays the threat.
An FBI investigation into the mysterious drone sightings in New Jersey last year has yet to produce any suspects or recovered drones. Despite over 5,000 reported incidents in December, the investigation has only pursued about 100 as credible leads. “It’s not unusual in a case like this not to have a suspect,” FBI spokesperson Amy Thoreson explained, noting that the number of reported sightings has since significantly decreased. The Federal Aviation Administration had imposed temporary flight restrictions over sensitive facilities in the region, but these measures have now expired without any major breakthroughs.
While the FBI investigation stalls, former President Donald Trump has expressed continued curiosity about the drones, which gained widespread attention after their appearance near his Bedminster property. On his first day back in the Oval Office, Trump reiterated his intention to uncover more details about the incidents. “I would like to find out what it is and tell the people,” Trump said, signaling his desire for transparency. He also tasked his Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, with looking into the matter immediately, showing his personal interest in getting to the bottom of the mystery.
Despite concerns over the drones, the Biden administration has downplayed their significance, categorizing them as not a national security threat. However, Trump has vowed to provide more answers, criticizing the lack of information. “I think it’s ridiculous that they are not telling you about what is going on with the drones,” Trump told a group of Republican governors earlier this month, underscoring his frustration with the situation. While the FBI continues its investigation, the exact origins and purpose of the drones remain unclear, leaving many unanswered questions about their role in the region.
The FBI's investigation into the mysterious drone sightings in New Jersey has yielded no suspects or recovered drones, despite over 5,000 reported incidents. Trump has expressed frustration over the lack of information, pushing for more details about the sightings. Hopefully, New Jersey citizens will soon get answers about why these drones are flying all over the area.
