Brunswick Eruption was a massive event with many robotics enthusiasts coming to test their might against one another in an action-filled stage.
On Saturday, October 26, NBTHS hosted a large robotics event in which teams from all over the East Coast competed for first place. 36 teams competed in a long qualifying bracket in a 3v3, with Krypton Cougars coming out as the victors with a ranking score of 3.33. The game involved using robots to get nodes into various scoring zones within the span of a few minutes.
Raider Robotix was hard at work making this event possible with members building the stage, transporting cargo throughout the school, and on the day of the event, fulfilling their assigned roles. The queuing team working tirelessly to get participants onto the stage, the vendors breaking out the best moves to sell more concessions, and the commentator who came from across the country just to work with, on this event. Some comments from the members include, "It was the toughest year ever" from Mr. Cokeley and an inspirational quote from the legendary Mr. Roboto saying, "If you let yourself be wrong you'll be right someday."
Overall this event was definitely interesting with crazy scores and our team working hard to both make this event a success and better improve themselves and their tech to face next year's challenge.
